Chapter 6 : Oath of Hednis

Each clan chief gathered and once again decided to build a strong city-state with Elderine as their leader. They also took the Oath of Hednis – pledging eternal harmony between each of the three clans.
The strong bond between humans and elves and even dark elves brought great progress and years of abundance to the continent - the monsters did not dare to lay a single foot on the blessed land.

The gods did not remain idle for long – they sought to undermine the Hednis alliance by bringing disaster to the followers of Elderine…
One day, the sun disappeared without a trace. Clouds filled the sky and meteors fell from it. Hurricanes lashed the continent and destroyed whole villages.
But the alliance did not falter, if anything, it got stronger. Elderine prayed to the fragment of Bijou every day, praying that bring these calamities be brought to an end.
As time went by, more and more died – her prayers weren’t answered. This, however, didn’t shake their faith. Elderine shouted at Bijou:
“No matter how much you test us, we will never give up!!”
Bijou had never answered to her prayers before, but now the fragment started to glow.
Bijou’s spirit shot a pillar of light into to the sky from each of his remaining pieces.

Sweet raindrops started to fall on the dry land; life suddenly began to blossom once more.
Everything was regenerating, going back to its original and beautiful form.
That day was hence forth known as the “Purification of Light”…
