Levelling Up
Levelling up - the process of moving from one level to the next - will strengthen your character in many ways. You'll receive a higher HP (Hit Point) level as well as an 'attribute point' to improve a particular attribute of your character.
At the beginning of the game you receive a free attribute point that you can assign to your character. You choose which attribute to strengthen; open the character info window by either clicking the appropriate menu icon at the bottom right of the screen (see interface) or pressing the "C" key.
The following attributes can be improved:
| STR | Strength | Increases damage of both short- and long-range attacks. Each time you increase your strength by 5 points you will receive a bonus attribute point. |
| DEX | Dexterity | Improves aim and evasion ability. |
| END | Endurance | Improves defence and increases maximum number of HP (Hit Points). |
| INT | Intelligence | Increases magic damage. Each time you increase intelligence by 5 points you will receive a bonus attribute point. |
| SPR | Spirit | Improves magic defence and increases maximum number of SP (Spirit Points) along with the chance of causing a critical hit in close-range, long-range and magic attacks |
Each time you move up a level you receive a further attribute point. From Level 3 onwards, you also receive 'Skill Empower' points for every 2 levels you gain. Use these to improve skills that you've already acquired - do this via the 'skill info' menu icon (see interface) or the 'K' key.
You can then place the chosen skill in the newly opened window and select one of the 4 following types of improvement:
 | Increases the skill's Damage. |
 | Decreases the skill's SP consumption. |
 | Increases the duration of a Buff |
 | Decreases the amount of time you must wait before using an active skill again |
Before you enhance your skills, you should take a look at the other skills and available improvements. Some improvements are much more useful with later, more powerful skills. |
